Hi, I am a freelance writer based in Adelaide, South Australia. I'm a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) with an Advanced Diploma in Professional Writing (Adelaide TAFE).
I am currently editor of the monthly magazine "Connections" for the Defence Science and Technology Organisation (DSTO).
I have experience writing for internal publications for organisations, and also specialise in articles on new technology for both subject matter experts and the layman. Outside of that I like to write about social issues and my adventures as a "Mr Mum".
I am also a photographer, currently using a Canon EOS 20D with associated lens and equipment, to produce quality images associated with assignments.
I have experience in the layout and production of full colour magazines using Adobe Pagemaker, image manipulation using products such as Adobe Photoshop and Paintshop Pro, and can also whip up and maintain web-sites with Macromedia Dreamweaver.
Below are some samples of previous writing - click on a title to open up the full article (you'll need Adobe Acrobat Reader). Most of these were written for a column in local South Australian Catholic magazine The Southern Cross, and had a word limit of around 450 which is why they are short and sweet.

Please contact me if you have a need for a freelance writer on your team, or if you have a particular assignment in mind.
