Thanks to everyone who came to the 2024 AGM. We appreciate your support, helping the cottages to provide affordable seaside breaks for Emmaus Parish families and friends.
At the AGM we agreed to raise rates slightly, to keep pace with rising bills (insurance, energy, council rates) in order to break even.
New rates from May 2024 are:
Peak weekly – $540, off-peak weekly $415. Long weekend – 3 nights $230, Easter 4 nights – $320. Nightly rates – $80 peak, $70 off-peak – minimum of two nights. Add a booking fee of $10 to all bookings.
(For comparison – a one bedroom glamping tent (main bed in main area) in a local caravan park (without a view, without the beach just metres away) is $98/night.
Working bees for 2024 are to be held as follows –
- Saturday 1 June, 10.30-3pm
- Sunday 30 June, 9-1.30pm.
- Sunday 18 August, 9-1.30pm.
- Saturday 26th October, 10.30-3pm.
- Saturday 23rd – Sunday 24th November, 10.30-3pm.
Working bees help us keep prices down and keep the cottages in top-top shape (a never ending battle against the elements) and are a fun way to learn new skills, meet friendly people, and get in some exercise and sea air with views!
